Manna House

Manna House is a transitional Housing program of Fairview Housing Management Corporation.  It is for low-income transitional men.  50-60% of the men are veterans and they can stay at the facility for up to two years.

They usually have an average of twenty men with health/mental problems.  They have a two-story house, two mobile homes and a small building where they house these men.  They teach them to live on their own, how to make decisions and teach them to increase their work skills.  They offer classes on computer skills and life skills.

Once the men have found a job, they may stay up to 2 years and they pay 30% of their income for rent.  Their goal is to help these men get back on their feet and to get a job and housing of their own.

Their needs are many:  laundry supplies, toiletries, sheets (twin size), towels, wash cloths, vitamins, over the counter drugs, hygiene items, good men's clothing.  They also accept donations for capital repairs of the property.

Food left over from the Melting Pot is often given to the Manna House.
